Fees are calculated on the item subtotal (excluding shipping & sales tax) and deducted automatically from each payout via Stripe Connect. Listing-fee charges accrue and settle against your next payout — never billed to a card.
Do I pay anything before I sell?+
No. There's no application fee, no monthly fee on the Founding Maker and Standard tiers, and your first 10 listings are free. Fees only apply when you make a sale.
What's the difference between commission and payment processing?+
Commission (3% for Founding Makers) is the marketplace fee. Payment processing (2.9% + $0.30) is what Stripe/PayPal charge to move the money — we pass it through at cost, like every online store.
What is the off-site advertising fee?+
If we run paid Google/Meta ads and one directly drives your sale, a 12% off-site ad fee applies to that sale only. It's how we fund advertising without charging everyone. You never pay it on organic sales.
Is the 3% rate really for life?+
Yes — the first 100 approved Founding Makers keep the 3% commission rate for the lifetime of their account, in good standing. After #100, that inaugural rate closes forever.
